A little about me...
I'm a New England girl who tried life without four seasons and just could not adapt. I love winter and snow.
I'm blessed to have work I love. Family that truly cares and appreciates each other. A spiritual life that keeps me grounded and helps me try to see the positive in life's challenges. I've lived lots of places, so I enjoy having friends in many places around the country.
Reading is a big part of my life -- novels, biographies, business, current events, all kinds of books and magazines. Sometimes reading changes my life. Team of Rivals taught me a lot about leadership. Truman taught me about managing through adversity. Younger Next Year is influencing my attitude about aging. I catch up on current events with quick reads of the Washington Post and Fast Company every day. More thought is needed when I sit down with The Futurist and The Economist.
I enjoy music and theater - nearly all kinds. I'm a public radio fan. I like to travel. That can be the big trip, or discovering places close to home. I enjoy history, so living in Western Massachusetts is fabulous.
I enjoy learning and life. I adhere to the adage that you should learn something new every day. Learning together with a partner adds to the joy.
About the one I'm looking for...
A grounded individual who has diverse interests and passions. Someone with a passion for learning. Someone who has a community of friends. Who has a spiritual life. Who is interested in a partnership where there are interests that are yours, mine and ours. An attitude that includes an ability to see the humor in some of the more challenging parts of life.
I'd just like to add...
Life is better shared. While we all can learn and grow individually, I believe that learning and growing together is a great way to celebrate life.
I'd love to share hiking and cross country skiing with someone, as they are high on my list of things I enjoy. Flat water kayaking is also a joy. I play a pretty good game of cribbage. And I'm guilty of spending a few fall afternoons watching football.
I provided a photo, so should you.
