A little about me...
Pro-God, pro-life, pro-gun. Affectionate, analytical, casual, cautious, conscientious, considerate, faithful, generous, genuine, happy, independent, intelligent, introverted, loyal, practical, reliable, reserved, responsible, thankful , trustworthy, scientific, unselfish. I don't like housework and I don't cook much variety. I mostly eat vegetarian. I weigh 180 pounds. I sometimes confuse procrastination with patience. I buy new cars, take care of them, & drive them forever. I live in a single family home about 60 miles west of Las Vegas. I am an evangelical Christian and I believe the Bible. I like to travel, hike, fish, shoot & explore. Oh, movies, plays, & concerts are nice too. Given a little more time I'm going to learn some dance. The gym & walking helps keep me in shape. My health seems fine, except that I have some mild coronary artery blockage. I take no prescription but I do take nutritional supplements. I have conservative political orientations.
I was a Senior Staff Scientist at an aerospace company, retiring after 30 years. I did R& D work on electro-optical systems. Prior to that, I was an Air Force officer for 8 years, also doing R& D work. Prior to that, I was a professor (1 year).
About the one I'm looking for...
More than anything, you have to love Jesus and know that He is alive and that He is your Lord. You are a woman of integrity and are generous, kind and affectionate. You have to be able to stand alone for right and be able to stand by your man & be faithful to him. Your personality is probably outgoing & extroverted, complementary to mine. You enjoy outdoor and athletic activities and are on the slim side. A little adventurous. You enjoy travel. You get along with your family. You are financially responsible. Basically, you are a happy person. You think being a Proverbs 31 woman might be OK. Long hair is a plus. If your political orientation is liberal or left-wing, then we are probably not a good match.
At my age, a marriage is almost somewhat like a business deal. Both parties have to bring something to the table. We've spent a lifetime becoming who we are & accumulating what we have and we don't throw that away just because we're contemplating marriage. In other words, when I die, I expect to leave the bulk of what's not spent to my kids and I would expect, for any lady I might marry, that, when she dies, she would leave her lifetime accumulations to her children or anyone else she might choose.
I'd just like to add...
I like casual clothes - I wore a coat & tie to work most of my life and now that I'm retired, my coats & ties are gathering dust. Gospel and blues are my favored music. Country & Western is OK sometimes. Both sets of grandparents were immigrants from Finland. The grandfathers were recruited to work in the iron ore mines in Minnesota.
In every relationship I have ever had, I have been generous with the lady and frugal with myself - I expect this to continue. I do have this old fashioned idea that its the husband’s duty to financially provide for his family and that anything the wife contributes is a bonus. The best way to sort through these various financial issues is with a prenup. On a closing note, I have absolutely no financial debt.
