A little about me...
Hello. Here is my updated information. In February I start a 10 week class on gardening through the USU. I really look forward to that. Also, there is a 6 hour class on HAM radio operations which I want to attend. Now that I am retired I can pursue this interest. As a practicing Roman Catholic I am active in my parish. Monday nights I teach a religion class to 8th graders. Love the young people. It is important to me to stay close to my family. My two little dogs keep me company daily. It would be hard to list the many things I enjoy. But, what I miss is companionship and good conversation. Developing a friendship is important before a deeper relationship can be considered. To save hurt feelings, I need to say upfront that I prefer to meet widowers. As a practicing Catholic, divorce issues are complicated. If you have a living ex-spouse, we wouldn’t be a match for even casual dating. Divorced Catholics need to have successfully gone through the annulment process. Thanks for reading my post.
About the one I'm looking for...
Honest, good communicator, patient with children and me, enjoys pets, I am looking for a Catholic or Christian widower who likes to read, and doesn't need to be traveling continually. Would enjoy sharing the ordinary experiences of daily life, with a sprinkle of new adventures. I've always liked camping and being around water. I do like the outdoors and am at peace just working around my yard. The companionship of a friend makes even having a cup of coffee better.
I'd just like to add...
Checked off my top two bucket list items with a trip to Ireland and then to Russia. I would love to revisit Yellowstone again, and San Francisco where I was raised. I enjoy family history. Recently purchased Italian language tapes..maybe I'll learn a few words. Someday a trip to Italy might be possible. A few months ago I retired after 30 years working in a hospital setting. Current events and some political activity as a conservation Republican still interests me. Favorite flowers are lilacs, roses and daisies. When I listen to music, it could be religious, jazz, big bands, or classical. Silence has its benefits. Love harmony in nature, personal space, and in relationships. A companion who is supportive and patient is preferred when new adventures are planned. I don't enjoy card games or board games. As to golf, I've never tried it. Sports wasn't my strong point but, if you don't expect wonder woman, I would try it.

My Top Interests:
Religion and Spirituality
In a vast world with many options, one could easily loose a sense of direction without the compass that faith brings--practicing Roman Catholic so I can't keep company with anyone who is divorced.
Family and Friends
Man was not meant to live without family and friends. Friends also include the family pets.
Nature and Outdoors
Picking #3 was hard but places like Yellowstone or the seashores bring a sense of harmony in life. There are so many other things I enjoy.
