A little about me...
Hey! I moved to Charleston a year ago from Virginia, where I'd spent my entire life. It's difficult to make new friends when you're a little uncomfortable going out alone. There's so much to do locally but would be so much more enjoyable shared. I'm up for alot of different activities...Enjoy watching football(Go Redskins),love live baseball games(huge Orioles fan), bowling, reading, gardening, decorating, movies, time at the beach or pool, cook-outs, camping, tubing(Shenandoah River in Va.), baking sweets or trying a new recipe, walks, home projects, motorcycles. Willing to try most anything once!
About the one I'm looking for...
Well, after 2 marriages and another ltr, I can say with some certainty what I don't want easier than what I want. But first and foremost he wants to be my best friend. I think that that's essential to a successful relationship. There has to be shared humor and the ability to be able to laugh at yourself and most situations. To me trust is more important than love, because there is no love without trust.
I want someone who wants to share his life, day, thoughts, everything with me, and know that his opinions are valued and important. I want an equal! Plain and simple, not someone who values themself because of what they have, where they've been, income, schooling or anything else. I like to think that I live by the "do unto others....." idea. I'm a casual person who enjoys comfort over appearance. That doesn't mean I can't or won't get dolled up, just prefer sandals to stilettos!
I'd just like to add...
I guess I should add that although I want a best friend I don't want to be attached at the hip.I think it's important that people have their own time and space for their own needs. As much as people can love each other, they still need a break!
