A little about me...
I am retired law enforcement (CA DOJ) and now work for the US Army recruiting. I have lived in the Reno area for coming up 5 years. Before that, I lived on Kauai. Had my dream job there (horse guide on largest active cattle ranch on Kauai) but had a health issue and had to move back to the Mainland. I didn't want to move back to California, so decided Reno would be somewhere I could fit in. I love the outdoors, even when it's cold. That's what coats are for. I loved Kauai and she calls me to return but living there alone wasn't great. Money, yea it's life's necessity, but not that important to have fun. I am independent but love to share; I'm happy and content being single but love being in a relationship; I love to get on my horse and take off on a long ride just to clear my head of EVERYTHING! I had my career with DOJ and now just enjoy being with my soldiers and helping them with admin assistant things. They are like the sons I never had and I love them to death.
About the one I'm looking for...
I am looking for someone that has a love for the outdoors and adventure. I love riding horses so that is one thing that I would really like in common with my forever-after partner. Life is short and most of the people on this site seem to agree with me. Being 60 is the new 50, right? Age doesn't matter to me as long as we connect and enjoy each other. I'm pretty open to learning new things, going new places, and meeting new people. I am outgoing and I've been told that I don't know a stranger. You can take me anywhere and I will be comfortable and social. I got rid of my baggage a long time ago and figure if you like me, that's great. If you don't, there is someone that will. If meeting someone on this site ends up being forever, that's great. If it means I meet several great men, go to different places and end up with good friends, that's great, too.
I'd just like to add...
I love my daughters. They all live in California and I visit them as often as I can. I also have 4 grand children ranging from 21 to 12, and I enjoy my time with them. Holidays with family is important but just surprising them with a visit....that's some of the best times. They are a part of my life and I'm so glad that I moved back. Only one of them came to visit me in Kauai and I really, really missed them. I would hope that if I meet someone, their family would mean as much to them. My girls are like me in a lot of ways....very social, fun loving and enjoy meeting new people. Guess I shared that gene with them :) I get to have one of my grand daughters for two weeks every summer. We have fun and bond as only a grand mother and grand daughter can. I look forward to those times.
I love sharing dessert with someone, having a glass of champagne once in a while, butter on popcorn at movies, warm sand under my feet and the smell of salt in the air. If you like any of these things, I look forward to hearing from you.
And happy hunting in finding that one special lady you spend the rest of your life with. Happy tails!
