A little about me...
No, not that kind of rich! I mean rich adventures--experiences that take your breath away. For me that's swimming in a lake, listening to blues, watching a thriller. People close to me would say I am smart, thoughtful, funny but sometimes shy; loyal, idealistic, and independent. I believe that the most important things in life are love and meaningful work. I love my family and friends; my relationship with them makes life worth living. In my work, I need to be helpful to people, and that's why I am a teacher. I push myself to ever-higher goals, which gives me a deep sense of satisfaction. On the lighter side, I have a wry sense of humor and love to be playful and downright silly sometimes. I try not to take life too seriously, and to stop and smell the roses. At this point, I want to share it all with someone else.

About the one I'm looking for...
He should be fun loving, share my sense of humor, and be intelligent, which is very attractive to me. He should be an independent thinker who doesn't necessarily go along with the crowd, but does listen to "the integrity of his own mind." Still, he should be someone who doesn't take himself too seriously, but can laugh at himself and the curve balls life tends to throw at us.

I'd just like to add...
I have so many favorite movies it's hard to choose just one. I love classics, mysteries, thrillers and yes, horror movies. Love the Bourne movies, Jane Austen, Coen brothers, Orson Welles, any Hitchcock.

Also love being outside: walking, light hiking, swimming and bicycling. Exercise keeps me centered and relaxed. While I’d love to learn yoga and meditation with someone, I tend to be a type A; for me, achieving stillness is something you have work hard at, if that makes sense.

My idea of the perfect summer day is swimming in a lake somewhere in Maine, sunbathing to Miles Davis, visiting a farmer's market, making dinner/eating out… watching a well-made movie….poring over travel guides to plan the perfect South American (or Eastern European, or Asian, or Caribbean) vacation….then falling asleep listening to the Red Sox game and crickets in the background.
