A little about me...
I love good conversation and good books. I am liberal in my politics, tolerant of my friends' imperfections and have a good sense of humor. I enjoy writing (mostly poetry - I participate in several writing groups), reading, listening to music, watching movies, traveling and many other things. I take great pleasure in simple things, but also enjoy the complex, the mysterious, the unusual. I am still very curious about the world and all that's in it. Growing up, my family took trips each summer, camping in different national parks in different parts of the country and I still love road trips. I was born in Detroit, MI, but grew up in Philadelphia, PA. Although I have spent most of my life living on the East Coast, I spent a year (in my early twenties) living in San Francisco and spent almost a year (in my middle age) living on the west coast of Ireland (even though I have no Irish ancestry). I am comfortable in cities and the countryside and love exploring both.
About the one I'm looking for...
I would like to meet someone who is smart, creative, at ease with himself and others, financially secure, interested in the world around him, compassionate and caring. Someone who enjoys laughing, talking, traveling, reading, listening to music. A non-smoker, who doesn't drink too much. A man who is not allergic to cats (I have 2) and likes dogs (I have 1, who is rather energetic)....
I'd just like to add...
I am not into watching sports (definitely not a football fan). I do not scuba dive, sky dive, race bikes or go spelunking. Eccentricities? - I have a fairly good-sized collection of teapots (I used to travel to England a lot), hence my "Teapotter" name.
