A little about me...
I am retired and I have a happy life. I tend to be positive and I try to help others when I can. I am blessed with intelligence, a quick wit and a good sense of humor. I enjoy quiet time for reading and writing. I can and often do cook, but for some reason I do not like entertaining a crowd: I love to dress up, but am also comfortable in casual clothes. I enjoy travel and exploring new places, especially if they involve water. Good food and a glass of wine can be lovely and even better if accompanied by good conversation and some laughter. Concerts, live theater, movies, ballet, opera, museums, antiques, art galleries and more; all on my list of likes.
About the one I'm looking for...
Please do not smoke at all or drink in excess. I like men who are reasonably fit and who can and do like to travel. Intelligence is high on my list of priorities along with kindness, compassion and humor. I would really love to find someone who has hobbies, enjoys reading books, the New York TImes or Washington Post, and crossword puzzles. Those are my relaxation techniques along with Yoga, swimming and Pilates. I also hope you like the outdoors. I love a hike in the woods, a walk on the beach, a bike ride on the rail trail and lots of other things. I will not respond to anyone who does not post a photo or who does not fill in his profile. After all, the idea is to introduce yourself.
I'd just like to add...
I strongly support equality for all people. I recently found the quote "When the power of love is greater than the love of power, we will know peace". I find this quote very hopeful.

My Top Interests:
I enjoy learning and hope to continue to read and learn as long as I possibly can.
It is important to take care of ourselves and remain reasonably fit. Good eating and exercise go hand in hand (and a glass of wine now and then is good for the heart).
Family and Friends
I believe the people we love become increasingly more important to us as we mature. Our connection to them is priceless.
