A little about me...
I am a recently retired journalist who splits time between my homes in D.C. and Cocoa Beach, Fl. where I play tennis, golf and jog. I usually spent the fall in DC and the rest of the year in Cocoa Beach. Reading takes a lot of my time, especially the Washington Post despite its liberal Op/Ed page, the WSJ, the Smithsonian, and Esquire. Despite hundreds (or so it seems) of tv channels, I routinely watch CNN, Fox, AMC, Turner Broadcasting, some sports channels and, of course,PBS, especially Masterpiece theater. On the collegiate level, I'm a big ACC fan, especially the Terps, and, of course, I'm a fair-weather fan of the "Skins." Old movies, classics, if you will, are my favorite movies: Bogey/Bacall, Tracy/Hepburn, all hold up extremely well. Just finished a bio on John Huston and Alan Alda. Also, prefer political bios including Truman who said, "If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog." And, that was 60 years ago. Well "things' haven't changed much!!
About the one I'm looking for...
Having been raised in a big Catholic family, I prefer traditional values, but, that said, I appreciate a lady who has made a career and possibly juggled raising a family. Either or both situations draw my admiration. Physically, I prefer a fit lady, one who enjoys golf, playing and viewing, along with tennis and other outdoor endeavours.
I'd just like to add...
Finally, I am a classic car nut, preferring old Jags or Mercedes Benzs, hence my ragtopgentleman moniker. In college, I drove MGs and TR4s. Just can't take the "rag" out of the top!!
