A little about me...
I was raised in the Cleveland area & moved to San Diego in 1970. I moved with the intent of staying only 6 months & before I knew it 33 years had passed. It is an incredible city & I had a wonderful life there. Working at the Union-Tribune I became interested in photography so I went back to school & obtained an AS Degree in Photography. A friend from school & I started a photo studio which we had for over 20 years. It was hard work but a wonderful way to earn a living. In time my parents began to have health problems so I moved back to Cleveland to help them. My Father was under Hospice care for prostate cancer & my Mother had COPD & was on oxygen. It was a tremendous change for me but one I will never regret. They were the most wonderful supportive parents & it was wonderful to finally give back to them. Unfortunately they have both passed away so now I am in the process of starting a new life here in Cleveland. I have toyed with the idea of starting a photography business -- on a much smaller scale than I had. I have been taking classes at Lakeland & am learning digital & photoshop. Things have changed considerably since I left the profession. It's a challenge & I welcome it.
About the one I'm looking for...
I am looking for a long-term relationship. I have never been married but I think it's time. I love being in a relationship -- to have a partner that you connect to. I'm looking for a best friend. Someone I can talk to -- that is so important to me. And there must be chemistry. I would like someone assertive but not controlling. Control is the kiss of death for me. Even though I am looking for a long term relationship, I am open to just being friends. Friendship is the basis for any relationship. I appreciate humor. So often people are too serious. The world needs to lighten up & not take things so seriously. Honesty is extremely important to me. If there is no trust what do you have? I'm very health conscious. I watch what I eat, exercise and in general am very healthy. I work out about 5 days a week. At this point in our lives it is mandatory. Otherwise we die before our time or end up with serious health problems. I want to enjoy my time on this earth. Eating bad things now & then is necessary. You can't always be good!!!!! I am a Christian with a strong belief in God. You don't have to share my beliefs but you must respect them.
I'd just like to add...
I would like to say that I truly love life. I am healthy, active, and energetic. I love doing things -- exploring the many ethnic areas of Cleveland, eating out, enjoying the incredible cultural aspects of the area and just staying in and cooking and renting a movie. I love to dance. Any type of dance. And I love music. My all-time favorite is Elvis! Who could not love the guy. But I love jazz, country, classical -- anything that is good. I love plays, concerts and just doing things. I also love quiet evenings at home and take out food or home cooking. With the right company, everything is good. I love being outdoors -- I like to hike in the metroparks and kayak. I love sitting at the beach at sunset with a glass of wine. I love to travel. I've been fortunate in that I have travelled extensively. Anywhere I have been I would go again and anywhere I haven't, I'd love to try it. I love summer the best -- winter is too cold for me. I do not have children but I have 2 wonderful neices & 2 wonderful nephews. They all have children now & I adore them all. Family is very important to me. We have wonderful gatherings.
