A little about me...
passions: contra dance, waltz, film, people, travel (i drove 7000miles in 3months last year on many adventures). Also I make a point to be part of the lives of my chldren and granchildren.
i am a caring, sensual, very fun guy. i love to laugh and make people laugh. my spiritual life is important to me. i walk 1 1/2 to 5miles/day 5-7 days/week.
i keep up with my friends from vanderbilt and the peace corp--what an interesting mix!!
I trully care about people and humanity--our greater family. I volunteer for Hosparus twice a week, playing the ukelele and singing songs like Amazing Grace.
About the one I'm looking for...
needs to also have a spiritually tolerant view of themselves and others. vivacious, funloving and in relatively good shape and likes to dance. needs to have children to better understand me and my relationship w/my 4 and my 6 grandchildern. After 54 yrs of searching I believe I've found the spiritual path I'll spend the rest of my life on. My hope is that I'll find a partner to travel it with.
I'd just like to add...
several years ago i realized i didn't have as many close friends as i would like. i realized i was looking for men and yet i had more in common w/women so i started the "just us girls + 1 club" made up of myself and my many dance partners. what fun!! now i get plenty of "fem" energy from my friends at our potlucks and other outings. in a relationship it's impossible for each person to get all their needs met by the other so it's important to have friends.
it might be of interest that the title of my doctoral thesis was "intuitive leadership: spirituality and business intuition". it's in the jaque maritain library at notre dame u. it's definitely an out of the box book by an out of the box thinker. fun waters run deep.
I occasionally teach intuition and creativity

My Top Interests:
Religion and Spirituality
I've been searching all my life through several branches of Christianity, Tibetan Buddhism and now Sufism as Sheikh Kabir Helminski of the The Threshold Society has moved to Louisville. I just returned from 2wks in Turkey w/Threshold Society folks where I was initiated into the Mevlevi Sufi Order in Konya where Rumi is buried. I'm at a loss for words--extremely rare for me--to describe the spirtual journey we were all on. The Threshold folks are the brightest, most loving people !
I walk 1.5-5miles a day 6-7days a week in Cherokee Park which is 1 block away from my apartment in the Cherokee Triangle. I also bike there and to the River Walk. And Yoga class 2x/week. Maybe my greatest passion is Contra dance which I do 6-7 times per month and sometimes travel to 3-day weekends. In the summer I dance on Sunday night at Willow Park, just down the street. I enjoy food preparation and a few of my Quinoa is something special. I care about what I eat.
I frequent the Village 8 and Baxter theatres and watch Turner Classic Movies on cable. I enjoy everything from classics to film noir to foreign to small independent films. Occassionally I'll even go to an action film. I enjoy sci-fi, too, but not horror films.
