A little about me...
I've been widowed for a little over four years , and would like to meet new people, and hopefully find a companion to share my life with. I'm a professional photographer, semi-retired. I enjoy one on one time more than large groups or parties. I like boating, being on the beach, and traveling. But mostly, I love talking with others. Sharing opinions, interests, happiness and sadness. WARNING: all my life I've been told I talk too much. If you're in my company, the conversation won't lag. I am very interested in a person's life experiences, and am not one bit shy about sharing mine.
About the one I'm looking for...
I'ts very important to have a sense of humor. Being able to laugh at yourself is a good thing, in my opinion. Although I think it's important to take pride in what you accomplish in life, I also appreciate humility. I believe open communication and honesty are vital in any relationship. Joking and teasing are part of how I show people that I like them and feel comfortable with them. So if you're a little thin-skinned, you probably won't like me.
I'd just like to add...
I have a dog who I love very much. He's very spoiled, but he's the best in the whole world. He's the reason I don't talk to myself all day--I talk to him. ;-). I love to read, I'm not much of a drinker, but don't object to drinking in moderation. However, I definitely don't like the bar scene. I like to cook, and enjoy eating out at Coastal Grill, Eurasia, Bonefish Grill, and I especially like sushi, and pizza. Most of my favorite movies are comedies, but I also enjoy a good love story. I read the newspaper back to front every morning--yeah I said back to front, because that's how I really read it. I like spending time alone, am very introspective, and expect a lot of myself. My strongest personality trait, I think, is self awareness, and I am brutally honest with myself. I'm a very deep thinker, and tend to analyze everything. I think people are really interesting, and enjoy getting to know them on a personal level. If all this sounds like I am one serious-minded little cookie--I do like to have fun too! Although I'm very independent, I am not enjoying my life too much right now--being alone. I'd love to meet someone to spend time with. So--I'm very excited to see what happens next!

My Top Interests:
Family and Friends
My family is so important to me. Both my family of origin (mother and two sisters--I just lost my dad in Feb.), and my children, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, etc. They are the ones I can always count on. I also have a dear friend in Richmond who I love so much! She has been there for me through thick and thin for over 25 years.
Crafts and Creating
Although I'm not really into crafts as such, I love doing anything that is creative. Being a professional photographer has taught me to see things in a totally different way. I especially love photographing people and making them look beautiful. I like using Photoshop to make art from what might be seen as a "snapshot." I also like decorating. I feel that when someone comes into my home, they see a reflection of me. Aesthetics are really important to me. I try to create beauty around me.
Nature and Outdoors
This is where I find beauty in God's creations. The ocean, trees, mountains, flowers, falling snow. I love the power of the wind, the sounds and smell of a thunderstorm. Walking barefoot in the grass, letting sand sift through my fingers.
