A little about me...
I care a lot about the state of the world, about understanding people. I'm warm, bright, affectionate, funny, serious. Good genes and 40 years of TM have kept me - I think - pretty youthful. (Photos are from past four years.) I'm idealistic but think I'm very fair. In some situations I'm very outgoing, but I prefer good conversation with one person or a small group to large gourps and big parties. I've always been something of a homebody and don't mind being alone, but also enjoy going out and doing things with someone who's interesting and fun. I believe that working on a relationship that is already basically a good one can be a wonderful experience.
I should add that although I checked off "divorced", the closest category that seems to fit, my former husband died several years ago.
About the one I'm looking for...
For me, as probably for most people, honesty, kindness, humor, intelligence and emotional health are very important. I'm Iooking for someone who will give me the same things that I want to give to him: love, appreciation, consideration and respect. Most of all, I value authenticity. I take good care of myself physically and would like to meet someone who does the same. And if he makes me laugh, I will follow him anywhere :) .
What turns me off? egotism, ostentation, manipulation, an inability to take responsibility for mistakes, cruelty in any form.
I'd just like to add...

Religion and Spirituality
If I had to pinpoint something here, I'd probably say that I'm most fascinated by the interaction between psychological and spiritual development.
Family and Friends
Have four terrific grandsons who live locally. For all of them, life is baseball. Fortunately for Grandma, I like baseball and am a Washington Nationals fanatic. Should also add to "Interests" that I am something of a political junkie. Like everyone else, I'm fed up with the bunch of them but still enjoy watching how their personal psychology affects political behavior. Especially (shudder) in the case of the new president.
