A little about me...
I am an honest, compassionate person who has always been family oriented. Being a widow of since 2007 has had it's challenges.. My late husband was a firefighter who died suddenly while visiting his parents 2 yrs after his retirement.
I enjoy gardening, cooking, music, walking, crafts and advocating for Organ Donation/ I was my 40 yr old daughters' first kidney donor in 1987.
Love my grandchildren - ages 15-22 and enjoy spending time with them.
I have worked for a good amount of years within the MH/MR field - semi retired last year.
I look for kindness in a person and a personality that is genuine. A person 'rough around the edges" is not me.
Love car cruise shows - ocean - rummaging through antique shops for the fun and my interest in old items. I enjoy gardening though my huge yard I getting tougher and tougher each year. My late dad was a nurseryman/landscaper so I grew up appreciating "playing in the dirt" LOL. It was hard work being creative in my yard when I first moved in 1984 - but rewarding. Love finding music venues of music I enjoy - blues, country, oldies - classics -
About the one I'm looking for...
A man who is honest, sincere, seeking friendship, family oriented and respectful of women.
My family is important to me - I have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. I would like to meet a person who loves children and his own. As for myself I would accept someone who has children and loves and spends time with his kids.
I'd just like to add...
A mixture of mutual respect and having a good natured personality is key and gives both a Light Heart and stress free meet-up!
A picture is worth a thousand words- so please post.
We are who we are in this stage of life....
If no picture or sharing a little about yourself I will not respond ..... honesty is key
It would be nice to have companionship but I am not a needy woman. It' disturbing to hear of so much game playing out there in this day and age.
I would hope to meet a gentleman - someone who is respectful, sense of humor , truthful, and close to my age.
In younger days there was no issues with meeting someone -- being asked to dance etc - whatever happened since then? Yes we're older and don't exactly look exactly as our young knockout pics - but inside we're still the same, though smarter, and knowing what we're looking for, much more wisdom and a triple splash of patience....... enjoy your day! Chris
as of 8/19/15 -- good luck to all on here
This site appears to get one to join to just "look" at pics. not for me!
I am discontinuing membership as of 8/25
This has been a good experience in realizing that the realistic way of meeting someone is to "get out" - good old fashioned way of catching each others eye.
