A little about me...
I am about to enter an entirely new phase of life called retirement and am very excited as I have a rather large bucket list. First item to get completed will be cooking classes in Italy this fall, followed by trips to Yosemite, Napa, and a tour around the islands off the coast of Scotland to sample the single malts.
Another item on my list of things to do when one is not working 14 hours a day, is to take classes in digital photography so that I can master the "art" of downloading, cropping, etc. When I was a kid I used to develop black & white photos with my dad in his darkroom, and I still have all that equipment too. Dad also taught me to bait a hook when I was five and I still love to fish and get out on the water.
Living in Norwalk is just perfect for me -- not too "chi-chi". The people are great and I have developed quite a few lifelong friendships over the last 15 years. I also have family members who have moved here from other parts of New York. Living here also gives me the opportunity to be near Long Island Sound -- I've actually spent my whole life living very close to it, on one side or the other.
So, if you are interested drop me a line and who knows......
About the one I'm looking for...
I am looking for a person who will be my best friend (and that's a two-way street); a travel partner -- a big trip at least once a year, if not more often; someone who enjoys a spur of the moment "let's go for a ride to ......"; a family man who really enjoys being together -- both his and mine; and most important a man who has a great sense of humor -- Monty Python is very high on my list!
I'd just like to add...
I am extremely fond of music -- everything except country -- and have recently discovered adult alternative over the last few years. A few of my favorite groups are the Foo Fighters, Incubus, Young the Giant and the Tedeschi Trucks Band (updated Allman Brothers). In fact I went to my first concert in years a few months ago to see Tedeschi & Trucks at the Beacon -- great concert! I also have a rather large collection of vinyl dating back to 1956 (45's and LPs).
