A little about me...
I am a very upbeat, cheerful and outgoing person. I was raised as an army brat so I am very adaptable and love meeting new people. I have never met a stranger. Family is very important to me. I have a son in college and a sheltie who looks just like Lassie.

About the one I'm looking for...
I love live sporting events, fishing, esp. deep sea, caddying at the golf course, hiking and camping. Canoeing down the river, maybe even with a little bottle of wine in a picnic basket, is a great way to spend an afternoon. Love dancing at Johnny's Hideaway, and watching movies at Fork and Screen! Sense of humor is very important to me as well. My son is in college in Florida. I have loved every stage of his childhood, but am looking forward to having a little of "my time" back. So, I am looking for empty-nesters, or soon to be empty nesters. I have done that, and really do not want to go there again. . Just as a heads up, I am not into motorcycles or tattoos. Also, if you have children and do not even mention them in your profile is a big turnoff, they are gifts from god and not something to be left off profiles. For a first date, I prefer meeting for one or maybe two drinks, to see if the chemistry or physical attraction is there. Then making a next date to really get to know each other, the worst thing is accepting a dinner date for the first date, and knowing even before you sit down that there is no chemistry or physical attraction. Also, someone who has their own place is a must, guys we are too old for roommates

I'd just like to add...
I love volunteering. I volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club, USO, and at a soup kitchen.
