A little about me...
I am an INTJ (Introverted, iNtuitive, Thinking, Judging – see Wikipedia if curious). Being introverted I am frequently quiet & reserved. I prefer to 'think it through' before committing to a course of action - but I can also be spontaneous. I am intelligent, open minded, caring, sensitive, compassionate person. I give great hugs & I love getting them too. I don't watch TV. I derive great satisfaction from helping my partner achieve her life goals and will be there if things don't go according to plan. I am not fixated on money, wealth or possessions - I don't believe these are the reason we are here. I think I am a very rich man when I simply have a hand to hold. I am a vegetarian, sometimes purely vegan. I like movies (westerns, sci-fi, romantic comedies, historical, documentaries), music (classical, rock, folk, blues, jazz, new age and live), reading, cooking & road trips (camping or not). I've built two homes, one of which I live in – so I'm reasonably handy.

I am passionate about quality rather than quantity, music, history, learning new things & understanding the world I live in (from the sub-microscopic space-time foam through the anti-entropic miracle of life to galactic clusters and the search for parallel universes).

About the one I'm looking for...
You don't have to be perfect - I certainly am not and it would probably drive me crazy. I would prefer that you be reasonably healthy, non-smoker, physically active and want to stay that way. You should be concerned about what you consume (food, beverage & media) after all you are what you eat whether it's organic produce, Rush Limbaugh or deep fried twinkies. You do need to be honest and not into games. This is the bedrock, without which a relationship cannot long thrive. We should have some interests that overlap, but certainly some that don't, so that we can find commonality, yet still have room to explore & discover. Liking movies, music (live & recorded), cooking & reading would be really nice.

Do you like to hold hands? road trips? long walks in the woods, sea shore, mountains? cuddling on the couch to watch a movie? Do you like to stop & smell the roses? Do you have a sense of wonder & adventure?

I'd just like to add...
Please have a current picture posted. I don't mean to seem shallow but a picture is easily worth a 1000 words.

Some favorite quotes:

In the part of this universe that we know there is great injustice, and often the good suffer, and often the wicked prosper, and one hardly knows which of those is the more annoying. Bertrand Russell

A human being is a part of a whole, called by us _universe_, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Albert Einstein

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.
Dwight D. Eisenhower

Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils ... - Louis Hector Berlioz
