A little about me...
HI there, I'm a very upbeat, optimistic lady who hasn't been in a serious or long relationship for many years. Haven't been too actively looking, but things just don't appear on one's doorstep, soooo....thought I'd better get a move on here and put myself out there.. I love the outdoors, camping, long walks, exploring new places, flea markets, arts and craft fairs, etc. I believe I'm a great friend and a terrific partner, as I'll Always be there for you through the best of times and the worst of times when and if they come about.
Health issues: I'm extremely allergic to negative people! I make it a point to stay away from them as they tend to have a problem for every solution.
Slow to commit, but once I do, loyal to a fault. Would love to meet a Friend First, then see where it takes us. I believe growing deep roots makes a strong tree. Ok, probably a bad analogy, but hope you get the idea. :-)
As far as faith: I'm not into organized religion, but am spiritual. I am very respectful for whatever my partner wishes to believe in. As long as you believe in the basic Golden Rules and that Karma is alive and well, I think we'll be just fine together
About the one I'm looking for...
Definitely looking for a gentleman, kind, caring and compassionate. Hoping he has a great sense of humor, open mind and curiosity a plus. Looking for someone who will always be interested in learning and growing and not too stuck in his ways. Flexibility and open-mindedness is wonderful. Hoping to find someone who is secure within themselves. I believe that if and when we have difference of opinions, we need to respect that in one another. I know emotions come to the fore in relationships now and then, but they always need to be handled with kindness. If it's not possible at the moment, "time out, " is definitely called for versus saying something we may regret later. I am not into altercations and am definitely looking for someone with an easy going, fun personality. I don't want someone perfect, I'd never live up to the comparison and even though there are days I wish I could change some things in the past, there's a reason the rear view mirror's so small and the windshield so big: where you're headed is much more important than what you've left behind. Hopefully we've also both learned from those things we've left behind.
I'd just like to add...
I also consider myself to be extremely feminine, cultured, educated, intelligent and also a student of metaphysics, but can be a tomboy when the occasion calls for it. (I guess I still like to have car doors opened for me now and then on special dates.) A bit of old-school there, but by no means a pre-madonna. If anything, I underestimate myself and am currently working on self-confidence.
P.S. Found this in an article somewhere and wanted to share it: Dear Gentlemen: You may think she wants your car, your money and gifts, but the right woman wants your time, your smile, your honesty, your effort and your choosing to put her as a priority, (not asking for 1st priority, simply a priority.) One can tell a lot about a person by what they choose to see in you, as well as how they make you feel about yourself. Always look for and expand the positive in one another, as it will just make each other even more positive. I'm looking for someone who will help me feel good about myself, and please be aware that I will be doing the very same for you. Know that souls recognize & learn to love each other by the way they FEEL, not by the way they look.
