A little about me...
I am definitely eccentric/eclectic/intellectual/artsy fartsy/spiritual/romantic/monogynous. Value a balance between intimacy and creative solitude. I've been told I am very funny and believe that humor is the sugar to making lemonade out of lemons.
Love to cook, eat and drink wine, good writing, movies, long drives, meanigfull dialogue, shooting a pistol for target practice. Can't say I really want to kill anything. You should probably know I hate cleaning and organizing. Love me, love my dogs! Need outdoors, sustainability and simplicity with very low drama. High rating for nurturing, however I am not a nurse, nor a purse!
I take good care of myself by eating well, supplements, walking with the dogs, meditation. My blood panel is great! My career demands extreme physical activity and stamina and I consider myself fit. OK guys, I am 5'9" and weigh in at 223--draw your own conclusions. I hope to find a man that understands that "the spirit animates the flesh" and knows that intimacy and intensity can roll in any form.
One of my favorite sayings is "try to wear life like a piece of loose clothing."-- but "my heart is always on my sleeve."
About the one I'm looking for...
I'm looking for a man that is self-aware, knows his issues and has some practical skills at relationship. I am not for the faint-of-heart! I'm looking for a tall guy, and I'm ok with some extra pounds as I have a few of those myself.
I enjoy physical activities that involve anything outdoors, hiking, nature identification, water sports, target practice. Horses/riding sustained me through my teenage years. Wrote a song to one called "Tears in Your Mane", lol Have had many an epiphany in the deep wilderness.
Someone who remembers the 60's and 70's as the some of the best music ever; Classic Rock and Motown will live forever1 That period of time was so magical! Am a classically trained soprano, but a Joni Mitchell wannabe.
I appreciate and admire a man who can make things work and enjoys coming up with creative solutions. I especially love hanging out in a shop that has anything to do with metallurgy, farrier, farmer, gardener, machinery, mechanics, lapidary, woodworking and luthier. Form follows function!
Someone who is financially stable. Someone that has the intellect to asscoiate the small picture with the big picture in any discipline. If you can carry a tune and hold a harmony we could make beautiful music!
I'd just like to add...
I have been married a few times, the longest for 7 years and have never been able to have children. I have been single since 2005 as my last life-partner of 3 years passed away. I'm not sure how I feel about marriage again, but believe commitment starts in the heart and manifests in action, not a piece of paper from civic or religious authorities.
Sorry, I can't do the Christian thing, too many painful memories there. I have wholeheartedly embraced a couple of spiritual paths but choose to "remain at attention". My "moral compass" and "searching for truth radar" leans toward Buddhist Philosophy and Quantum Mechanics--what little I understand takes my breath away. Both seem to fit together like white on rice. Form follows function on a megascale as well....
In the mean time I try to leave good tracks, recognize when my ego is screwing things up, and explore the balance between self and other. Practicing compassion together with wisdom is no easy thing! Faith, existentialism, ambiguity and eternity go hand in hand.
Important to me is quality time no matter how long or short, meaning we honor each other for the duration. Sure, I'd love to find someone that I can fall in love and grow old(er!) with. I'm up for it if you are!

My Top Interests:
I've loved food and cooking since I was a little kid, I'm a true "foodie" and love the whole process from raw ingredients to plate presentation; food is "art you can eat"! I was in the restaurant business in many forms for many years and I find it hard not to cook for 6-20 people! It's so hard to cook for one!
Nature and Outdoors
I grew up backpacking, camping and fishing in Montana and the western US. I love leaving civilization behind and getting recharged in nature. I do however, require an air mattress these days! I seriously need bodies of water and hope to get into a kayak sometime soon. I spent a glorious 8 weeks in the Boundary Waters of Northern Minnesota-Southern Ontario in a canoe back in my early 20's.
I majored in music/fine arts in college and am a classically trained soprano. While I love classical music, I'm happiest playing my guitar and singing with my friends.
I have always been crazy about rocks, stones and would like to pursue silversmithing someday. I'm kind of a bead nut and have a collection waiting to be designed into beautiful stuff. The Tucson Gem and Mineral Show is amazing!!!!
