A little about me...
I enjoy learning and doing. I'm not materialistic. I'm a life long learner and want to continue to explore what is going on in this world; discovering and enjoying life. I have a ready sense of humor. Dancing is a fundamental component of my life: swing, Latin, ballroom, and closed position freestyle. It’s my avenue of creativity. Love that satisfying feeling of my partner and I moving together to music in a smooth, physical flow over the floor. I follow and enjoy the local and regional music scene for listening and dancing. I enjoy writing but I’m not a natural story teller so writing fiction is a challenge. Nature writing, mini-position papers, and essays flow more easily. I like to walk and talk, as well as hike.
About the one I'm looking for...
My daughter has transitioned from a child to a young women now; so I feel free to search for a serious and deeper relationship with a woman . . . that is with a soul-mate, not just an activity partner or a good time. But then, first things come first; small steps begin even the most hopeful journey. I'm looking for a friend first. Someone who has personal strength and self-confidence, a good heart, her own interests and passions, and common ground with me so she wants to share much of her life.
I'd just like to add...
Eclectic reading, study, and learning are staples in my life. Interests include the arts, the outdoors, lectures and presentations, and day trips to discover a new adventure. Living an explored life including deeper and more caring relationships. My browser homepage is the NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day. Two summers ago, each day I read an Internet article or a book chapter on dark energy/matter. The most recent book I completed was Lewis and Clark Through Indian Eyes. I’m now reading I Wish I’d Been There in which twenty historians write narrative histories of their favorite event that changed American history. Terms such as liberal, moderate, or conservative don’t effectively label my politics or beliefs. I am strong in many conservative principles; but I care more about seeking and finding the truth and what I believe is right, than sustaining any dogma. If my TV is on, it’s on PBS: NOVA, The History Detectives, or a documentary (series); or I watch The Medium or CSI because we’re piecing together the clues and problem solving, and I’m witnessing the characters’ family lives or personal profiles. I make an ongoing effort to understand and develop my self and my spirituality.
