A little about me...
My true “passion” is flying and I enjoy traveling, sightseeing and camping in the Rocky Mtn. region. I’m especially interested in the Geography relating to ancient lakes and rivers, like Lake Bonneville, Lake Missoula or even Grand Lake. I also enjoy sampling beer in the western area breweries or wine tasting in the western “American Viticultural Areas”.
I am a strong Christian and view myself as a Christian-Conservative politically. I try to get to church a couple times each month, but lately I’ve devoted more time to Biblical home self-study. This spring I learned a new word, “Apologetics”, and in the context of Christian Apologetics it has been a very interesting and enjoyable.
I have a full time technical job in Jackson and I also volunteer for an emergency response group. Both entities require being on call 24/7 and I enjoy that responsibility. I am not a workaholic, but because I have no health problems and I’m very happy with my position in life right now, I expect to keep working full time for another 6 to 7 years and then part time the rest of my life. My hours are very flexible and most of my emergencies can be handled by cell phone, therefore I am able to take 3 day weekends, a random day or 10 days off as needed.
About the one I'm looking for...
I’m primarily looking for someone to travel with, share dinners (talk) and just share life experiences with in general. My “life experiences” worth sharing involve aviation. So the lady I’m looking for is someone that will go back country camping and if skimming over the tree tops at 100mph on approach to a grass runway makes you uncomfortable, you need not apply. All other characteristics will be determined in person or via emails. :-)
I'd just like to add...
I do enjoy driving and I’m very tolerant of other drivers with various levels of skill and distractions. But my biggest (& only one noticeable) Pet Peeve is other drivers/people who make statements like “I couldn’t do that . . . therefore no one can and it’s unsafe”. I can honestly say growing up on a Nebraska farm, I started driving on county roads at age 12 and now 50 years later I have never done more than $200 damage to a vehicle while moving or parked, and have never even needed a seatbelt at anytime. Just maybe, some people can “do that” safely, and IMHO, just maybe if "they" would take responsibility for themselves they wouldn't see the need to invoke another law or whine to the editor so someone else will take care of them.
