A little about me...
Fit, fun, and feisty-at least that's what my press agent (AKA my daughter and best friend) says-and definitely over 50, so if that's a negative for you, then read no further. But if you're looking for a woman who has lived, loved, lost, and learned to love again, then keep on reading. I am quite self reliant, except when it comes to all things mechanical. I have no addictions, except to chocolate. I am easy to get along with: I have friends of all ages and walks of life. However I will defend my opinions and have been known to write letters to the editor. I have 2 cats but love all animals. I consider myself to be spiritual; I feel connected to and have empathy for all living things. I love to explore new places both in the US and abroad, but I do think that New Hampshire is the best place in the world to live. Family is important to me, and I feel fortunate have been able to watch my grandkids grow into such interesting young adults. I love spending time outdoors, have done a lot of camping and canoeing in the past. I enjoy photography and watching the Patriots and my 10-year-ol grandson's hockey games. I love to dance, whether alone or with a partner; it's the most fun exercise. But slow dancing with a special guy is preferred.
About the one I'm looking for...
I'm not looking for Mr. Perfect. I'm not perfect by any means. I'm sure I must have some aggravating habits--athough I can't really think of any I want to share at the moment :-) Your having a good sense of humor would be a plus. I am quite willing to laugh at myself and hope you could too. I'm hoping to find the one guy I would want to spend the rest of my life with. Communicating through this site is one way to start this process-- sharing information and discovering what we both enjoy. My requirements are quite simple: you should be honest with yourself and others, be willing to communicate your feelings, and be knowledgeable about current events. Material things don't impress me; I don't care about brand names or what anyone drives. I'm very happy in my Sears jeans and 2009 Honda Fit, although I do enjoy dressing up for special occasions. My one absolute is that you must be a non smoker. Sorry.
I'd just like to add...
My most rewarding job was teaching adults at a secretarial school and my most stressful one involved proofreading weekly and monthly newsletters and a quarterly magazine at a private boarding school. Because I like to keep busy, I'm currently working part time managing a database for a small international business here in Concord, which has enabled me to make friends throughout the world. I was in the antique business for a few years, but discovered I enjoyed buying more than selling (not a good business model), but I still enjoy going to yard sales and flea markets, a hobby which also allows me to meet interesting people.

My Top Interests:
Family and Friends
I am fortunate to have a daughter and her family living nearby so I have enjoyed watching my grandchildren growing up. I enjoy meeting new friends but have a wide circle of friends some of whom I attended school with; but I would like to find one special guy to share life with.
I love reading a novel and recognizing a place I've been. Or seeing a photo or painting of a place
Nature and Outdoors
Some of my favorite memories are of walks in the woods. There was a mountain almost right behind the house I grew up in with a wonderful spring with fresh, clean, ice cold water. I have recently discovered a whole network of trails througout the Concord area and have started exploring them. I used to enjoy downhill and cross country skiing; it made the winters fly by; but I do enjoy the change of seasons. The first snowfall makes everything look new again.
