A little about me...
Blessed, Spirited, Powerful, Excited about what life has to offer, Content with who I am, Passionate about my students (bilingual high school counselor in Charles County), my 2 adult children, my family, my church, my mission to continue my own personal growth. All of my life experiences and my purposeful attention, dedication and determination has prepared me for the last great encounter with a most worthy equally fabulous person of compassion and integrity. Courageous, resilient, adventurous and adaptable due to my extensive travels (Knoxville, TN, Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL, St. Louis, IL, St. Charles, MD, King George, VA) and most fortunate experiences with people of different cultures as an Air Force brat (Kansas City, MO, Zaragoza, Spain, Warner Robbins, GA) and ex-Army Servicemember (Ft. Devens, MA, Manassa, VA, Honolulu, HI).
About the one I'm looking for...
A man of GOD, of clear self-awareness, capable of strength and tenderness, mature and communicative, living a purposeful life and able to appreciate the gift of a happy, healthy and fulfilling love relationship. I pray that I will encounter a man who (like myself) can appreciate the truth of human nature to recognize comforts of physical and conversational chemistry, but work beyond the superficial initial attraction and work towards the depth of quality in a relationship to provide the deep satisfaction that true love will provide when two people are each others' #1 cheerleaders, when they realize that the journey to know that person at his or her best can be the rest of their lives together. What a cheesy concept, but so beautiful for the few who are soo blessed!!!
I'd just like to add...
Love of God, shared value system, honest communication, quality time together, purposeful mission in life, mutual respect for each others' gifts and talents, acceptance of past mistakes, willingness to move forward in life having grown from those mistakes with a sincere effort to start anew, and Plan for a Team Effort! ............Respect and support for our professional responsibilities and a desire to know and care for each other's extended families. At this stage/age, we are at or potentially near retirement, but for some our work may still be an important part of our identity and as single people, managing committments to family has not been a shared responsibility with another adult. I recognize this to be a potential challenge, but with proper, open, fair and loving communication, I do believe, it is most important to mention at the onset.

My Top Interests:
Religion and Spirituality
My spirituality feeds me, teaches me, grows me, keeps me grounded, gives me my purpose, and reinvigorates me when I am feeling lost.
Dancing and listening to many types of music is the next closest experience to experiencing God and connecting personally to people (love interest, my children, family, friends, my students)
I am bilingual (Spanish) because I lived in Spain as a child, maintained the language through my studies when my family returned stateside, taught Spanish, and have/had translator responsibilities to various degrees based on my school/work environments. This experience, amongst many others, has shaped my constant desire to nurture my ability to serve students and parents from diverse communities. It has been a blessing. Have developed resiliency and adaptability due to my military experiences
