A little about me...
Hello, first of all thanks for taking the time to read about me. I recently returned to Illinois after living in Oregon (the state not the town). Family is what brought me back and I am glad to be here though I truly miss the geography/climate of the Pacific Northwest. I am an honest, sincere, loyal person who is somewhat shy when it comes to talking about myself. I am finally divorced after a 6 year separation. Very happy to put that chapter of my life behind me. I am equally comfortable in a corporate boardroom or on a primitive camping trip. I am not a social butterfly, I am a private person so meeting new people is a challenge. I am a great conversationalist, love to read (presently enjoying Ken Follet's century trilogy), and am a news junkie. My music playlists include indy bands as well as classic rock and roll groups. I strongly believe that a true relationship has to be built on a solid foundation of friendship and mutual respect.
About the one I'm looking for...
I am seeking an intellectual equal who believes that reliability is a positive character trait. I also seek someone who tries to find the good in all they encounter. If you automatically go to what's wrong with things then I am definitely wrong for you. Life is too short to start from the negative. I am looking for the opportunity to develop an intimate relationship that is built on trust and friendship.
I'd just like to add...
I hope to find a man who enjoys building things together whether it's a home improvement project, a landscaping chore, housework, or dinner the key ingredient is togetherness. Mutual respect and a fundamental understanding that the best relationships are built with complimentary personalities not carbon copies of ourselves.
Please note that although the internet allows the world to become very small, I am not interested in striking up conversations with men who live far away. I don't believe that long distance is conducive to building a relationship. Thanks for your understanding.
