A little about me...
I am a retired college professor who has moved to a small acreage in the pinywoods where I raise a large garden and pine trees. I like outdoor activites like hunting, canoeing, birding, gardening, camping, and hiking. I am a naturalist both by training and as a hobby. I also enjoy many aspects of native american archaelogy and history.
I also follow LSU sports - mainly football and baseball- although I rarely attend games. I have 1 dog (a chocolate lab) and am planning o getting a watch dog soon.
I attend the Unitarian Church in Baton Rouge.
About the one I'm looking for...
I am looking for someone to go canoeing, camping, hiking, birding, and out to dinner. Long walks are a good way to get exercise while talking.
I have been married and divorced once and have had 3 relationships that lasted more than 3 years since then, I would eventually like to develop an intimate relationship with the right persons.
I'd just like to add...
I try to make it a point to being open and truthful with people even when they don't want to hear what I am saying.
I also consider myself a good listener who can empathise with others while still maintaining an objective perspective.
I am also a person who needs a lot of space hence my own place in the country where I can do my gardening and hunting and meditate by myself.

My Top Interests:
Nature and Outdoors
my life centers around outdoor activitie. I garden, hunt canoe, kayak and just walk in the woods frequently.
Religion and Spirituality
As I have matured I have become more interested in the various ways that humans have defined their god and communicate with said god.
I believe that we need to help people of all ages learn to "love"
learning. This includes helping them to understand new concepts and perspectives.
