A little about me...
Thanks for taking the time to view my profile. Before I attempt to complete this profile I feel as though I must admit that for me writing this type of profile trumps by far the anxiety/pain of having all of my wisdom teeth pulled at one time.
Whether in my personal or professional life I have always aspired to setting realistic expectations, and subscribed to the axiom of under promising and over performing. I believe that humility trumps hubris and that as you cannot judge a book by its cover, neither can you effectively communicate who you are in a few sentences or even paragraphs. It's like looking at yourself in the mirror in as much as what you think you see is biased(positively and or negatively) by many subliminal factors and may ultimately not be at all how others see you.
OK, I realize I’m way over analyzing this and my procrastination by now is totally transparent so with an attempt at maintaining a cognizant effort to balance honesty with self promotion I will get on with it.
Family is and always has been a primary focus in my life. I have two beautiful daughters and four wonderful grandkids which I try to spend as much time as I can with. I’m hoping to find someone who I can share this joy with.
About the one I'm looking for...
I am caring, passionate, loyal(sometimes to a fault)with strong moral conviction and integrity. Although I do not consider myself a professed romantic, I embrace intimacy, believe actions, whether a touch, a glancing look, hug, kiss or holding hands, profoundly communicate ones feelings and thoughts. That said, actions are not mutually exclusive to or a replacement for the spoken or written word.
I have a wide range of interest but spending time with family and friends is paramount. I enjoy cooking(must admit I make a better sous-chef than chef), enjoy ethnic and fine dining, good wine, engaging conversation, live theater and listening to music (excluding rap) either at home by the fire with a glass of wine or a live venue. I do watch some selective TV, educational/science channels, sports, and also enjoy sci-fi. Like to garden especially with a partner but have not done so in a while. Would enjoy taking dance lessons (swing and Latin) with the right partner but be forewarned I have been told that I have two left feet. I enjoy remodeling projects, and building/fixing anything, am a consummate DIYer and stereotypical gadget/ technology guy and into home automation and just about anything relating to photography.
I'd just like to add...
I believe without risk there can be no reward but I understand and accept that risk can bring consequences.
I have my share of baggage but I refuse to allow it to be an influence or burden and am adept at compartmentalizing as required. That said I believe one can and must learn from each experience, positive or negative and that wisdom ultimately comes from the assimilation and processing of all these life experiences and lessons especially those associated with failure and pain. The real challenges come with implementation of our collective wisdom as we are all creatures of habit with a propensity for repeating our mistakes.
As for my ideal match, well I believe a great start would be someone who appreciates, relates to and connects with the description, values and the philosophical tenets both stated and implied above.
If any of that resonates and has possibly piqued your interest I would very much enjoy hearing from you. Please do not be bashful as “she who will not risk… can not win”. Just give me a nod and I will initiate contact. PS, the photos posted are a few years old but other than a few more gray hairs mixed in are a fair likeness. Looking forward to hearing from you.

My Top Interests:
Family and Friends
There is nothing more fulfilling, gratifying and enjoyable than spending time with those we love, respect, and cherish and there is nothing on earth more important or relevant to our existence and purpose than those we are fortunate to know and embrace as family. Whether through communal bloodline, marriage, adoption or devoted union family is the glue that bonds the fabric of our being. Second only to family, and for the same reasons, are those rare individuals we can actually call friends
I have always had a fascination with technology and its application, innovation and invention, learning what makes things work and figuring out how to design and build my next DIY project is always great fun.
And yes, my friends and family have on occasion refer to me as “the gadget guy”.
That said, I also enjoy music, photography, have a high level of appreciation of the arts and theater, and love a good political debate.
Although I would not consider myself a chef by any means, I do enjoy cooking and playing around in the kitchen, especially if sharing the task with that special lady. I am always experimenting with new ideas and concocting some recipe variation, not always for the better I might add, but without risk, there can be no reward.
I enjoy pairing that perfect wine with a new creation and have cultivated an appreciation for a great vintage, but a sommelier, well not quite there yet.
