Greeting

A little about me...
I am a happy soul, content with my life, and comfortable in my own skin. Because of the stock market hit to my life-time finances, I'll work until I die. But I tried retirement once and it was very lonely. Thoughts of travel with friends was a surprise because so many of them still worked. Now working again I am surrounded with people who appreciate my inquisitiveness, generosity, persistence, humor and reliability. Life is very good.

About the one I'm looking for...
Although I'm not looking to remarry, having a concert or movie friend would be quite nice. I appreciate intelligence, humor, reliability and an appreciation of good music and wonderful jazz. Finding someone who either enjoys cooking, or is a good conversationalist while I put together a fine meal, would be exceptional.

I'd just like to add...
I am a writer (published), and a poet. I'm a woodworker, trained by my late German cabinet-maker father-in-law. I have no plans on doing it for others (too hard to please?), but have built some rather incredible bookcases and a headboard wall in my own home. I enjoy fine dining (French is my favorite, with Thai a close second), movies with a gentle theme, yard work (my yard tends toward Japanese gardening). I have a little 'kid', Samantha . . . a Ragdoll feline who talks a lot to her 'mom', and has a little French bed beside my desk where she frequently slumbers (and snores - don't tell her I told you that).
