A little about me...
if you wish to check my professional background... My most favorite hobby has been cooking, I cook eight different cuisines, with Chinese being my favorite.I also a wine enthusiast-a sommelier of sorts, having tasted more than 250 types of grapes, from around the world.I also like my martinis, as well as some more exotic liquors, such as ouzo, from Greece, absinthe, reyes et.al., from several European countries. Not really a beer drinker.
I am highly educated, and well traveled. Was just recently called a Polymath, which describes me quite well, actually.
Lived in FL 27 yrs. My home town of Louisville surely has changed in 27 yrs!
Been retired for six years, and getting bored so I am going to find something part time, just to have something to do. I am in good shape-I have no fat at all! LOL!!! Looking forward to my next trip, and have to chose between Costa Rica or Grenada district of Spain. Will go for a month this time, which is my average time away.
I am the patriarch of my family of over 50 relatives. Hard to keep up with such a crew, scattered all along the Atlantic seaboard and the Gulf of Mexico, as well as here in the Louisville area.
About the one I'm looking for...
I'm looking for a highly educated lady, who has a plethora of interests, qualities, and attributes. She should love to travel, like to cook gourmet meals, go to wine tastings or have one at home with friends. Loves to give dinner parties. Be very gregarious, and welcomes new friends easily. Should have a sense of adventure, for all the world has to offer. Be able to accept me for who and what I am-which is a very good man. Respect me, for my vast array of knowledge, and my ingenuity with things around me.
I'd just like to add...
I am a true southern gentleman, and will always treat my lady, with dignity, honor and ultimate respect. I am not the arguing type, and simply will not do it! I don't have a problem with debating an issue. I am very verbose, and I have to watch that, as I find myself speaking in terms that my audience do not understand, so I take than into consideration.
I am a bit sarcastic in nature, but in a fun way. I respect all kinds and types of living creatures, including bugs (except for roaches!!!) of all varieties. I love to have a couple of aquariums in the house, and have enjoyed that for decades.
I am also a great admirer of art and the arts, as well as architecture, ruins, and remains of former civilizations. I have been to all the most famous art museums, throughout North America, as well as the greatest ones in Europe. I have been bitten by wanderlust for over 30 years.
I am quite the dancer, starting at 12 when my aunt Madora practiced, and progressed all the popular dances of the eras. It's been a while, but I am more than ready to tear up the dance floor again! I'm a major rock and roller, the oldies mainly, of which I consider the Beatles and the Stones in that category. Don't care for old country, but the new is fine. Peace
