A little about me...
I am at peace with myself. I have a friendly, outgoing personality and I love to laugh. People tell me I am easy to talk to and that 'I don't know a stranger - everyone I meet is treated as a potential friend'.
Words to live by "Life isn't about how to survive the storm -- but how to dance in the rain". I want to DANCE.
I can be assertive if need be, but I am generally easy going and I am enjoying a new life chapter free of drama. I want to be with a special someone to share the good and the bad times. But I am OK on my own.
I work hard but love to play as well. A glass of wine, good company, and I am a very happy lady. My family and friends are what make life worthwhile. I just moved to the area and still have regular contact with all the neighbors from Portland, OR., but I am looking to meet new people here in Delaware.
Money is important only for the security and comfort it can offer and the good it can bring to others. I am not a slave to my job, but I believe that you should always give your best to anything that you do. I have telecommuted for 19 years, so I am a very self disciplined, self motivated person.
About the one I'm looking for...
I want to be with someone who is comfortable in his own skin. Above all I need honest open communication - no games. I want romance and passion in my life - but I want it sprinkled with carefree laughter and silliness. I want a closeness that comes from building and sharing life's little joys and challenges.
I am looking for some one to have fun with, and take life one day at a time to see where the road leads. I want someone to enjoy the passion that life has to offer.
The selections for 'type of relationship' are limited. I selected 'serious' because it fit better than the others, actually, I would like a relationship that starts with no expectations, and is allowed to flourish on its own if it is meant to be.
I'd just like to add...
I LOVE country music, the symphony, jazz, blues, live theater, movies, hiking, biking, dancing (would love to learn salsa or ballroom steps), pilates, reading, horseback riding -- or just being with friends and family over a BBQ.
My family and friends are very important to me. And my 2 cats are part of the family. :-) Oh - and after 5 years in Indianapolis, I am a HUGE Peyton Manning fan - so GO BRONCOS...
I have savored New Orleans before Katrina - walking Bourbon Street during Halloween, Manhattan during Thanksgiving before 9/11, Boston, DC, St. Augustine, Hawaii, Bermuda, Cancun, Cabo San Lucus, England, Wales, Scotland and Austria. I LOVE to travel when time and finances allow. I would love to take a cruise around the Greek Ilse. I want to travel to Italy, Spain, Ireland and I want to share those good times with someone special. Traveling is best when shared!
I enjoy going to wonderful restaurants and discovering new and exciting things, but I don't really qualify as a 'foodie'. Wine tasting is a big enjoyment, and again, best when shared. I love to go to places that pair wines, cheeses and fruits - I don't know where these places are in Delaware, but I can't wait to find out.
