A little about me...
Howdy! Born and raised in SE Oregon...country boy that loves the outdoors. I live to hike, backpack, camp, hunt, fish, and enjoy the beauty of this world. I WILL return to the east side of the Cascade Mountains and the High Desert. I also enjoy music...bluegrass, Jamgrass, folk, Alt-country, and alternative rock. I am addicted to the smell of sagebrush, freshly mown hay, and wide open spaces. I taught for 25 years and also served as an athletic director and coach high school coach for nearly 30 years. Sunrises and sunsets inspire me and I really try to live between them. Recently retired and now capturing my dream...wish to become as self sufficient as I can be...
About the one I'm looking for...
Looking for someone that is honest, spunky, kind-hearted, and unafraid of adventure. The person for me is "authentic" and genuine. I am looking for someone that cherishes their family and closest friends. This person must also care about our environment and be responsible for taking care of it.
I'd just like to add...
My hobbies include: Dutch Oven cooking, exploring wherever I happen to be, training dogs, participating in and watching sports, traditional ways, homesteading lifestyle, and just about anything outdoors.

My Top Interests:
I have been involved with sports my entire life. As a player and a coach I have learned more than I can share in this space. Let me just say that I have learned about committment, discipline, teamwork, and how to deal effectively with winning, losing, and injury.
Nature and Outdoors
I am more at peace in nature than anywhere else. I truely believe that I should have been born 200 years ago. I am a modern day mountain man and find myself spending as much time in the outdoors as possible. Being away from the things of man is truely a spiritual experience for me.
What can I say, I have been a student or teacher most of my life. I will learn each and every day of my life...I follow the words of Ghandi as best I can..."You must be the change you wish to see in the world."... peace is the goal...
