A little about me...

I am a peaceful, serene grantmother of six beautiful and wonderful granddaughters and two absolutely adorable grandsons ages 2 and 6 months. . I am happy and satisfied with each and every blessing in my life....all that I have and all that I am. I have worn many hats during my life as far as life's vocations and am now semi-retired. I have owned and been employed by a large catering company in a past life. I am currently a "Personal Chef" in the Lexington area. Cooking is a passion for me! I actually think I live a very charmed life! I enjoy 'nice things' but "stuff" is not important to me. I think the more "stuff" you surround yourself with, the more complicated your life can become. My needs and wants are fairly simplistic. My personality is one of a 'giver/helper", very alturistic, honest, sincere, compassionate. As I say, just "in love with livin' life!"

About the one I'm looking for...

A partner! Someone with whom to share the simple pleasures in life. Simple pleasures may include but are not limited to..... listening to good music. (I was a music major at the University of Kentucky). Particularly classics and contemporary jazz... but I love Lady GaGa as well! Cooking great food. Listening to a gentle rain falling (on a tin roof is ever better). Being in awe of a new fallen snow shimmering like diamonds under a brilliant moon in a dark winter sky. The excitement in the eyes of a child watching a fireworks display on the 4th of July. Hiding Easter eggs before dawn. Picking daffodils on an early spring morning. Reading a good book in front of a flickering fire. Walking together in a beautiful garden. Watching a lightening display during a thunderstorm. Decorating the most awesome Christmas tree ever! No opening presents before Christmas morning! Attending the late Christmas Eve service. Enjoying the scent of fresh basil and rosemary. Watching the rhythm of the ocean. Going to a Butterfly Festival. Sr.day at Kroger! Eating ice cream out of the carton at midnight-with one spoon. Backrubs and wonderful smelling lotion A shared appreciation and gratitude for our fellows.Giving and receiving fresh flowers.

I'd just like to add...

I enjoy any and all of the Arts, and am an avid reader, love to play Bridge, Srabble, going to movies, theater, etc., love to enjoy really good food. The only fast food I eat is "Subway"! Veggie Deluxe! I love to go to Ecton Park for outdoor jazz concerts during the summer. I am not hugely adventurous but enjoy watching someone else participate in something they love. I have had many different cats and dogs in my life, mostly dogs. I have enjoyed and love
Cocker Spaniels, Hot-dog-dogs ( can't spell Dachs...) many little 'street' puppies, Carin Terriers, Westies. I now have the most wonderful companion of almost 12 years, a Golden
Retriever, Maxwell. He is the BEST big red dog ever!. .Most recently I have acquired a precious cat whose name is "Blue" with the most gorgeous 'coke bottle green eyes" ever!
I like most other pets as well with the exception of anything in the mouse, gerbal, rat, ferrit, hamster family. And, I am enormously afraid of snakes, of any kind...even the little green ones! My family in very important to me. I love sleepovers, listening to the voices of little girls... Favorite restaurants...Charleston Grill (SC) Carganie Deli (NYC), A'la Lucie (Lex.Ky.) Museums.Googenheim, Louisville Speed, "Artist's Attic"
