A little about me...
I am an optimistic, energetic, generous person with all sorts of interests. My three grown daughters and new grandson come first, of course, alongside other family and friends. I have a special interest in the arts (I'm a musician); also love traveling, swimming, dancing, hiking, going to concerts, museums and the theater, cooking, reading and great conversation. I am practical, competent and down-to-earth; also warm and affectionate, but I have intellectual and playfully creative sides as well. Not exactly an athlete, but swim almost daily and just took up ballet again.
I've been divorced for nine years now and would really enjoy building a sane, happy partnership that takes me and my beloved to the end of our days. My teaching career gives me the flexibility to travel and spend summers out of the Florida heat. Love New England. Once I retire, I'm game to move anywhere, but Florida is hard to beat in the winter time.
My politics are liberal and I volunteer to several good causes. I am open to many religious ideas and am comfortable with a number of traditions. I am active in a synagogue and enjoy Jewish home rituals, but it is Tikkun Olam, "repairing the world," I value most.
About the one I'm looking for...
I am seeking someone who is happy with who he is and who enjoys life; someone who is intelligent, stable, committed to family and to staying healthy and active, loyal and honest; who is as eager to involve me in his interests and activities as to share in mine. Sharing basic values would help as would sharing an interest in the arts, in learning new things, in exploring the world (and that could be the world of faucet repair or Thai cuisine or women's collegiate basketball, not just the one we'd discover by boarding a plane to Brazil or Ghana).
I'd just like to add...
