A little about me...
I was born in Nicaragua to a large family. I joined the Peace Corps went to Chile and spent 25 years running nonprofits. I love culture and being with all different kinds of people. Folks say I have a great sense of humor cause what is the point if you are not having fun. So I joke around but I am also an intellectual which is an interesting combination. I was part of the Civil Rights movement and am a liberal. I want to leave the world better because I was here. Contributing to humanity is important to me..
I grew up in the 1950's when rock and roll exploded. I went to my 1st concert when I was 13 and it was Elvis! I still love to hear live music. I consider myself young. I still ski, snow shoe, hike, dance, garden, and love to learn. I work out regularly for health reasons and to look good which is important to me.
As a published author and teacher, I work about 8 months a year, and get to go to interesting places. I am a generous person and have many friends.I have three lovely grown daughters – a teacher, a lawyer and an artist. My four grandsons are smart, fun, busy, and call me LALA.
About the one I'm looking for...
I would love to share all the great things in my life but more than that to support and nurture a partner in his own pursuits and dreams. Life is so much richer when it is shared. A partner who likes different cultures and people -likes to travel and might have international interests or experience. Someone who is healthy and wants to stay active.
I'd just like to add...
