A little about me...
I am a fun loving jack of all trades done everything and been everywhere guy that suddenly finds myself single after 23 years of marraige.
I am in great shape and health for a 60 year old guy, and still do most everything and can usually keep up with (or even beat) guys half my age.
I am an optimist and an opportunist. I try to make due with whatever life sends my way. I have always had the ability to know basically what I want and where I am going and can usually get there. Consequently I have been very stable all my life. I have lived in only three houses in my life, have had only three jobs, and have had only one wife which would have been the only one if I had anything to say about it.
My kids are grown but live in the area. (My son is temporarily living with me while looking for work). I have one grandson (not quite 2). I am very close to them and to my sister and her family and my mother that also all live in the area.
I worked as a field mechanic on specialized heavy equipment transmissions in my twenties and thirties and traveled all over the world.I quit that job and ran a child care center with my wife so I could be home with my kids and also joined the Fire Department. I am now teaching First Aid / CPR classes.
About the one I'm looking for...
The woman of my dreams is fit, physically attractive, outgoing, and even aggressive (up to a point). She doesn't mind getting dirty or living in the rough (see below). But probably most important to me is honesty and commitment. She also MUST like to travel, both in an RV and internationally. Spontaniety is also a plus. Although I accept the responsibility of taking care of "my woman", I need someone that is stable emotionally and not needy. I also should mention here that I don't do "long distance" dating. It is imperative to me anyway to spend a lot of time with someone to find out if they are the right one to commit the rest of my life to. So if you are not within at least an hour's drive of Arlington, Washington I don't see how it could work.
I'd just like to add...
The goal for the rest of my life is to develope property I own on the Pend Orielle river in North Eastern Washington. Build some cabins and maybe even a lodge at some point. This is a really remote place that right now only has a one room, 100 year old cabin that has to be shared with the mice, squirrles, frogs, and spiders. I hope to spend about half my time there building new cabins, lodges, picnic shelters, trails, docks, whatever comes to mind, and spending the rest of my time traveling. It snows there many feet in the winter. (There is a picture of part of the 63 acres I own on this profile, looking down on a river). I will be doing this alone if need be , but I really would much prefer to do it with someone. If this sounds like your kind of gig, drop me a line and let's chat.
