A little about me...
I'm a one fingered, fat fingered, can't spell or punctuate, pathetically slow typist. (Probably why I became a doctor?)
So, don't expect me in chat, Lol.
I love to travel, but my job, and raising 2 boys (entirely through private school) has severely curtailed my travel plans up until now. I have only been to about 10-15 states, and about 10 other countries. Number 2 son graduates from college in 2 weeks, so that is about to change!! Yay!
I live a very physical lifestyle (when real life lets me, Lol) I love almost anything outdoors. Beaches, mountains, deserts, rain forests, whatever! Hiking, snorkeling, scuba diving, mountain biking, et al, are what I live for. I also enjoy mixing in history, art, culture, as well as getting off the beaten path and experiencing a little local color. I feel like I have a lot of catching up to do!
Honesty, values, and living by the "golden rule", seem important to me!
I would also consider myself very open-minded. I don't judge others philosophies, lifestyles, activities, goals, etc., as long as they do not try to take advantage of, or force their beliefs on others.
Wow! that's the most I've written at one sitting in a LONG time!
About the one I'm looking for...
Someone who doesn't just sit around on weekends (or anytime, for that matter) watching TV. I love the outdoors, and need to be very active to be happy. I would much rather be on an adventure, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, scuba diving, exploring rain forests, Mayan ruins, Italy, France (well, Europe in general!)either on foot, on bikes, or rent a car, get a map, and go for it!
Closer to home, I love good food and wine with friends, at home, or out on the town. Love music. If I have my way, something is playing wherever I am! I have pretty broad tastes; classic rock, progressive country, alternative, jazz, and blues. I love live music, especially in small venues!
I would like to find someone with a similar "spirit of adventure". A co-conspirator, and partner who doesn't come unglued when things don't go as planned. (because they frequently don't!)
I love art, especially in it's original location, and in context. Or, as close as you can get to it thousands of years later. One of my favorite trips ever was 2 weeks in Tuscany. My profile picture was taken after nearly 2 days in the Uffizi, in Florence, Italy. Two days in one museum!!!
That was pushing my limit, but OMG, It was amazing!
I'd just like to add...
How about you?
