A little about me...
I am a semi-retired shrink. I spend all my money on ballroom dancing. I have a deep interest in philosophical/religious issues, and advocate for Humanianity (google), the religion of "Homo rationalis" (google). I am the organizer for the Charlotte Philosophy Discussion Group (google). I am health conscious.
About the one I'm looking for...
I am looking (in Charlotte) for a dance partner, a philosophy partner, and a life partner, with whom to share the joys in life and with whom to work toward making the world a better place. Being slender is important, in order to do certain dance steps. You don't have to know how to dance; I can teach you. (Think of it as free dance lessons.) But I would want to spend several hours a week practicing, and continue to attend dances. Being able to discuss anything is important to me. I am looking for someone who values deeply the sharing and comparing of opinions in the search for truth, not someone who must maintain the illusion of having found it, with no interest in questioning it. But I also am looking for someone to share romantic and other literature and drama. And I have not given up desiring the pleasures of youth.
I'd just like to add...
You don't have to know how to cook. It might even be better if you don't, because most good cooking is unhealthy. I stay slender because I don't eat any added fat. (The fat you swallow goes into the fat cells, and it takes a whole lot of exercise to get it back out again, since we use glucose/glycogen first.) You don't have to eat like I do, but I will worry about you if you don't eat healthily. I am for mutuality, not control. I don't believe in hostile behavior (and in my work teach an anger-prevention paradigm). I am for affection, cooperation, empathy, generosity, and rationality. And fun.
